Shipper

HERD, the leader in front-end collision protection, is now seeking an experienced Shipper to join the team!

As the Shipper, you will be responsible for the day to day shipping responsibilities. You will: package and inspect all outgoing products; ensuring that they meet our quality standards. You will load/unload trucks and prepare all necessary documents in a timely manner to meet the shipping deadlines.

REQUIREMENTS:
-Previous working experience as a Shipper
-Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment would be an asset
-Excellent communication skills – Verbal & Written -English
-Able to drive and hold a forklift license
-Proficient computer skills
-Ability to work alone, with little to no supervision
-Ability to stand, bend, kneel for long periods of time and able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Accounts Payable Coordinator

Accounts Payable Coordinator:

Are you seeking a role that will advance your career in accounting?

As our Accounts Payable Coordinator, you will play a major role in the finance team. Your focus is mainly on payables but you’re always prepared and eager to cross train and lend a hand in other accounting tasks and projects to learn more about the accounting profession.

Duties will include:

• Invoice Data entry into ERP System;
• Ensure vendor invoices are error free ;
• Match all incoming invoices to purchase orders;
• Prepare and print cheques on a bi-monthly basis or as requested by Director of Finance;
• Reconcile AP aging to vendor statements;
• Maintain finance filing system;
• Prepare and distribute monthly credit card expense forms; and
• Month end reconciliations and assist with yearend reviews

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in Accounting – working towards a CPA designation would be ideal;
• 1-2 years’ Experience in an Accounts Payable role would be a definite asset;
• Proficient in Microsoft office suite – Outlook and Excel particularly;
• Experience with ERP Systems would be an asset;
• Excellent communication skills – both written and spoken – English;
• Adaptable and fast-learner; and
• Must be a team player

Aluminum MIG Welder – Night Shift

Aluminum MIG Welder – Night Shift

 

HERD, the leader in front-end collision protection products, is seeking a welder to join our night shift team, who has previous experience with Aluminum MIG Welding.  The ideal candidate will be able to keep up with our fast-paced production environment and schedule, while continuing to maintain our company’s quality standards.

 

The Ideal candidate will possess the following Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years’ previous experience in Aluminum MIG welding
  • Able to read/use a metric tape measure
  • Experience with fitting
  • Basic Computer skills
  • Able to work alone in welding bay
  • Able to perform work while standing for extended periods of time
  • Experience using bandsaws would be an asset
  • Own a welding helmet and
  • Successfully complete a Welding test ( tests only given to those selected for interviews )

General Labourer

General Labourer – Parts Painter needed:

 

HERD, the leader in front-end collision protection is currently seeking a General Labourer to join our day shift team.

 

The General Labourer will be mainly responsible for painting metal and steel parts and will be expected to perform other general duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

 

-Previous experience in a general labourer role would be an asset, preferably in a manufacturing environment;

-Previous experience painting would also be an asset;

-Must have good working knowledge of the English language – both Verbal & Written;

-Must be able to manage time effectively;

-Must be able to stand, walk for long periods of time;

-Able to lift up to 70lbs;

-Quick and eager learner;

-Able to work in hot, dusty and fast-paced shop;

-Basic computer skills/knowledge

  • Provide quotes and convert into sales orders;
  • Understand customer needs and deliver the best solutions for their requirements
  •  Develop and manage relationships with clients, fleets and end users;
  • Make outgoing calls to promote products and offer promotion;
  • Support our customers by answering questions, guiding them to the right products, resolving concerns and processing orders;
  • Manage customer cases through to conclusion with a positive outcome for the client; and
  • Maintain cooperative working relationships with all departments to ensure sales are generated and are processed efficiently to achieve customer satisfaction

 

Requirements:

  • Must be Bilingual – English and French, with Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • 2 years experience working in a customer service and sales role;
  • Previous experience working in the automotive / parts department would be an asset;
  • Ability to successfully multi-task in a fast paced work environment;
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite;
  • Must be an ambitious self-starter; and
  • Possess a proven track record of maintaining, prospecting and developing customers

Grinder/Polisher

To continue to meet the high demands of our customers, we must increase our production and are seeking experienced, hardworking individuals to join our production team as Grinder Polishers.

REQUIREMENTS:

-All applicants must have good working knowledge of the English language – Verbal & Written

-Own transportation (public transportation is not available)

-Experience with hand tools (angle grinders, angle sanders, angle polishers, etc.)

-Previous experience working as a Grinder / Polisher / Sander would be an asset

-Able to work in hot, dusty and fast-paced shop environment while wearing a fill face respirator

-Basic computer skills/knowledge
