Production Planner

Production Planner

HERD, Established in 2003, is the industry leader in front-end collision protection products.  Our bumpers have been featured on TV’s “Shipping Wars” and “Ice Road Truckers” and have made their Hollywood debut in “Transformers II” and the sequel, “Transformers Last Knight”.

We currently are seeking an experienced individual to join our Supply Chain Group in the role of Production Planner.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Work collaboratively with Sales and Customer Service team to generate a demand forecast;
  • Generate Material/Capacity Sizing Report (to understand material purchasing forecast)
  • Generate Capacity Sizing Report (to understand manpower requirement forecast)
  • Generate Master Production Schedule Execution Report & Analysis
  • Production Planning by using internal scheduling system
  • Coordinate inbound/outbound freight – paperwork and communicating with freight companies;
  • Collect and Analyze On Time Delivery data by working with Shop Floor;
  • Manage finished goods inventory;
  • Assist with the development of the MRP System; and
  • Other related duties as assigned

Desired Qualifications and skills include:

  • 5 years’ previous experience in a production planning / scheduling role in a manufacturing environment;
  • CPIM designation or equivalent would be an asset. Will consider those actively working towards training through APICS.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office, especially Excel, word and PowerPoint;
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent troubleshooting abilities;
  • Experience in MRP system would be an assert;
  • Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written. Must be proficient in English;
  • Highly-motivated, self-starter with the ability to adhere to tight schedules with minimal supervision.

Brake Press Operator

Brake Press Operator

HERD, Established in 2003, is the industry leader in front-end collision protection products. Our bumpers have been featured on TV’s “Shipping Wars” and “Ice Road Truckers” and have made their Hollywood debut in “Transformers II” and the sequel, “Transformers Last Knight”. We are now accepting resumes for the Brake Press Operator position on our day shift.
The successful candidate will operate the brake press machine to create high-quality customized products for our customers.

Responsibilities will include:
• Keeping the machines clean and lubricated;
• Operate machines and complete work in an efficient manner with minimal errors;
• Examine completed work pieces for defects such as chipped edges or marred surfaces and sort defective pieces according to type of flaws;
• Measure completed work pieces to verify conformance to specifications;
• Other related duties as assigned

Desired Qualifications include:
• 3 years’ machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment;
• Ability to demonstrate excellent mechanical and troubleshooting abilities;
• Able to read and understand drawings;
• Capable of lifting 20lbs & up;
• Accuracy and attention to detail is a must
• Demonstrated safe work habits;
• Able to take direction verbally and in writing;
• Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written. Must be proficient in English;

Customer Service Representative

Customer Service Representative

We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join our Sales and Customer Service team.

  

Job Summary:

  • Ensure our customers and dealers enjoy their experience with HERD.
  • Handle incoming calls, outgoing calls, emails, web chats, orders, customer case resolutions, data entry and other tasks in a fast paced environment.
  • Help grow sales through sales activities

 

Job Functions:

  • Create a competitive edge by identifying customer needs via inbound and outbound sales processes
  • Convert customer’s needs to orders
  • Establish delivery expectations, statements of work, and other terms of sales
  • Execute orders using the company’s central database and computer system
  • Work closely with Sales Manager on account development by:
    • Responding to general account inquiries
    • Pricing and quoting consultation
    • Production and logistics management
    • Technical assistance
    • Helping determine proper fitment for their vehicle
    • Customer portal assistance
    • Influencing brand loyalty

 

Job Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Knowledge typically gained through 2-4 years inside sales experience or other experience dealing directly with customers
  • Ability to successfully multi-task and manage concurrent selling situations
  • Must be computer literate with the ability to access, input and retrieve data from Company database. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Must be extremely ambitious, energetic self-starter with a proven track record of maintaining, prospecting and developing customers
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and meet high expectations

 

Experience: Minimum 2 or more years of directly related professional customer service and sales experience.

FABRICATORS NEEDED

HERD North America is the leader in front-end collision protection and we are currently seeking experienced candidates to join our production team. We currently have openings on our day and night shift available.

Desired experience:

-Able to read/use a metric tape measure is a must

-All applicants must have a working knowledge of the English language – both Verbal & Written

-Experience in wood working would be an asset

-Experience with powered hand tools (skill saw, hand router, angle grinders, etc)

-Basic computer skills/knowledge

-Own transportation (public transportation is not available)

Grinder/Polisher

PRODUCTION WORKERS (GRINDER/POLISHERS) needed

HERD North America Inc. is the leader in front-end collision protection. We are currently seeking experienced individuals to join our team in the role of Grinder / Polishers.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

-All applicants must have good working knowledge of the English language – both Verbal & Written
-Own transportation (public transportation is not available)

-Experience with hand tools (angle grinders, angle sanders, angle polishers, etc.)

-Previous experience working as a Grinder / Polisher / Sander would be an asset

-Able to work in hot, dusty and fast-paced shop environment while wearing a fill face respirator

-Basic computer skills/knowledge
